Houston Christian High School is celebrating an outstanding achievement by Andrew Knobbe ‘26, who has been selected to be a Production Assistant on the set of an upcoming feature film.

This remarkable opportunity stems in part from Houston Christian’s growing film production program. 在安德鲁申请HC的时候，电影制作项目正处于早期发展阶段。 Recognizing Andrew’s exceptional talent and potential, Fine 艺术 Director Dr. Bobby Linhart and our administration fast-tracked the curriculum to provide a foundation that would allow Andrew to excel.

 

“From the very beginning, Andrew demonstrated a natural talent and unwavering dedication to his craft,” said Dr. Linhart. “We knew we needed to create opportunities for him to grow, and it has been incredible to watch him advocate for himself and secure such a prestigious internship.”

Andrew’s family expressed their gratitude to Houston Christian for providing the opportunities that helped him reach this milestone. “Because of the school’s incredible support and the theatre program, Andrew was able to demonstrate his skills and earn this wonderful opportunity,” they said.

 

The news of Andrew’s internship is supplemented by his recent acceptance into the premier high school film festival, the All American High School Film Festival, in the heart of New York City with his film “The Banker.” Andrew attributes his success to the tailored support and guidance from Houston Christian’s Fine 艺术 Department: “So much of what I know is thanks to Dr. Linhart and the amazing Fine 艺术 coursework offered at HC,” says Andrew. 

 

This internship marks a significant milestone for Andrew and Houston Christian’s Fine 艺术 program, demonstrating the school’s commitment to fostering students’ passions and preparing them for real-world experiences in the arts.

The Founders Circle came alive with everything from Also Sprach Zarathustra and Music from Apollo 13 to Across the Stars and The Planets — as our 乐队 took us on a musical journey through the cosmos.

Meanwhile, the Mustang Corral transformed into a gallery of imagination, featuring stunning student works — from vibrant photography and plaster sculptures to expressive paintings and mixed media creations.

 

This night truly celebrated the artistry, creativity, and collaboration that define our Fine 艺术 community — and the Mustang Family who cheers them on every step of the way.
